Cousins...

On Saturday Maddi, Timothy's cousin, was over for a visit. When we got home she climbed down from the chair saying "baby" because she wanted Timmy. She came into the kitchen where I was with the baby and looked at him, got a huge smile on her face and started to laugh. It was so cute because Timmy laughed back. Then they both laughed back and fourth - almost as if they were laughing at each other. I wish I could have gotten it on video.

Four Months Old!!!

Last week Timothy hit the four month mark. He went t o the doctor and weighed in at 13 pounds 8 ounces and is 25.5 inches long! Everyday is such a blessing, I just love him so much. I can't believe how much he has changed in his four months of life. He is a happy baby. He loves to talk and his laugh is so cute.

Steve's recovery is going well. Just a week after surgery he moved from the walker to a cane. Now he is walking a fair amount without the cane as well.

Steve is home!!!

Just wanted to let you all know Steve's surgery went very good! He went in on Tues, surgery started around 9 A.M. and he was in a room by 2 P.M. Around 4 same day he was off on his first walk! Yesterday he did stairs, a whole flight, and today, Thursday, he was released and is home. He got home around noon! Wow! We have such an amazing God! He has taken such good care of Steve. Thank you for all your prayers, God really brought us a great doctor, and I know this is just the begininning of him caring for Steve. Please keep the prayers coming.

The Fourth of July!

What a way to spend a day - family, food, and fun! Steve spent a few hours away with his cheerleaders at a parade and then was able to get back to the fun with family. We saw a great fireworks show and just enjoyed the day! here are a few pics...enjoy!

Our Little Thumb Sucker!

Okay - so I think we can officially call Timohty a thumb sucker. He has been chewing and sucking on his hands for some time now but last week he got the thumb down. He still sucks or chews on his other fingers too but it seems like he is choosing him thumb more and more.

The Beginning...

I have been inspired by all you bloggers out there...I am going to try and post a couple times a week so those of you who are interested in what is happening in the Smith household can check back and get the scoop!

Steve and I are both off for summer right now and loving being home together with our little Timothy. It is great getting to see him change and grow! He is talking a ton and loves to grab at his toys. He has rolled from his belly to his back twice but I think it was just that everything was in the right place. He does a great job holding up is head when he is on his belly so I suspect anytime now he will be rolling. He loves to lay on his back and hang out with us. He will scoot himself around in a circle when he is on his back if he wants to see something out of his range of sight. It happens real gradually so it is hard to get on video but he is moving! It is all so exciting!

On another note, Steve will be having surgery on his hip Tuesday, July 8th. He is having a total hip replacement. Please keep us in your prayers and please pray for his doctor, Dr. Skinner, and the rest of the medical staff that will be caring for him during the whole process. Also, next school year I am fortunate to be sharing a contract and will only work a couple days a week, praise God that all worked out. Lastly, for now, we are looking into buying a home here in So Cal, hopefully we will be able to find something we like and can afford! I'll let you know...I am sure it will be a long process!
